Mr. Anderson is one of two active Inaugural Board of Directors* - his board service began before 2010, he was involved in the development of the student program and supported the establishment of the first scholarships awards.

After serving on the board for several years, he was chosen as Board Chair & President in September, 2011. Mr. Anderson is dedicated to the mission of encouraging and funding local youth in reaching their goals in higher education. He has received recognition for securing the "Most Contributions by a board member" from 2015 through 2018. As an active golfer and key fundraiser, Mr. Anderson is heavily involved in supporting the annual success of the Future Sacramento golf tournament, hosted by Grant Napear each July.

Mr. Anderson and his wife, Estela Pino (Attorney At Law - Owner at Pino & Associates) share an appreciation for cooking and hosting dinner gatherings - including a Future Sacramento Board of Directors dinner. An ardent reader, avid golfer, history buff, art enthusiast - Michael is well rounded and a great resource to the board and students.

For nearly 40 years, Michael Anderson has provided Business and Estate Planning legal services from his law office in Sacramento. Mr. Anderson is a member of the American Bar Association; State Bar of California; and State Bar of Michigan. Born in Michigan, Mr. Anderson graduated from Michigan State University with his Bachelors in Science. He then graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School earning his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, followed by a LL.M. in Estate Planning from University of Miami.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Anderson served as an Adjunct Professor with Golden Gate University in the MBA Taxation Program, for courses such as Estate & Gift Taxation and Estate Planning. Mr. Anderson is also a published author, he has written for the Michigan Bar Journal and published other articles.
