We welcome you to create your very on Big Day of Giving Fundraising Profile! This is a great way for you to recruit new donors to support our organization. Also, very cool features of this profile allow you to be able see who gave to your page, what amount; and you will be alerted when a gift is made! We hope you can help make our campaign a success!

How to make your own fundraising page:

Step 1: Visit https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/FutureSacramento

Step 2: From a desktop/laptop screen, click on the “Fundraise” button. From a phone/smaller screen, scroll down to “Create a fundraiser for this nonprofit” large plus button.

Step 3: On the next page, click on the “Create Profile” button – follow the directions on the screen

Step 4: After signing into/creating your donor account, a form will open where you can enter the details of your fundraiser including Fundraiser name, URL, fundraiser story, tagline, their goal amount, how you are connected to Future Sacramento. There is also an option to upload a photo and video if you wish to! (See below for some suggestions for content.)

Step 5: Once you are happy with your fundraiser, you can click “Publish My Profile” and it will go live on the website. Or if you wish to save your work, you can click “Save” and come back to the draft later.

Recommendations:
For your “fundraising story” – state how long you have been involved with Future Sacramento; give an example of WHY you support our program; share what you think is the most impressive thing about our students; Then end your story with a statement like this : “Join me in supporting our mission of helping low-income students realize their college dreams.”

Fundraising Page Name: “Support Future Sacramento with [add your name]” or “[Your Name]’s Fundraiser”

Tagline suggestions:
“Together, let’s raise [insert goal $] to make college dreams come true!”
“My goal, for this 24-hour campaign, is to raise at least $2,500 to fund a complete one-semester scholarship award.”
“Help me make college a reality for more students!”
“Join me in raising donations to help more students become first-in-family college students!”

Need more examples for inspiration? There are many, many fundraising profiles already built for other nonprofits. Visit this page, https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/nonprofits, and click on the “Fundraising Pages” button.
