The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento seeks students who show significant potential but lack the financial ability to pay for their college education. In most cases, we expect that the selected student will be the first in their family to attend college and, as such, may not have been exposed to college as an option for their future. In our selection process, we are looking for students who fit this profile:

          • Student who is currently completing the freshman year of high school

          • History of scholastic achievement (prefer GPA above 3.0)

          • Financial need/hardship (annual family income below $50,000 or other demonstrated need)

          • In good standing with the high school administration and faculty

          • Community contributor

          • Participant in extracurricular activities, sports, or leadership

Note: It is not be the mission of the Foundation to attempt to rehabilitate teens who have habitual trouble with the law, gangs, drugs or with their academic performance and commitment.
