The FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento
Executive Summary & History
The
FUTURE Foundation was founded in concept in 2001 and incorporated
in the state of California in January, 2002. In June, 2003
the Foundation received tax-exempt status as a 501 (c) (3)
non-profit organization from the Internal Revenue Service.
A local charity golf tournament, in existence since 1994,
was then designated as the primary annual fundraiser for
the foundation. The golf tournament is considered one of
the highest profile charity events in the Sacramento region
in partnership with Grant Napear, TV voice of the Sacramento
Kings, we expect to maintain the same high profile of fundraising
and awareness for the foundation. In the tournament’s fourteen years of operation the Golf Classic has generated over $1,000,000 in gross revenue, another $300,000 of “in-kind” services and donations……and has donated approximately $900,000 to various local children’s
charities in the Sacramento region.
As of this writing the Grant Napear
Golf Classic, The Fabulous 500 and
grants from local foundations are the primary sources of revenue for the Foundation.
The mission of the FUTURE Foundation is simple…..helping educate children and
keep them on a path to success through our mentoring program.
